My name is Christian Cleveland and I am currently a junior at the University of Pittsburgh. I am majoring in neuroscience and psychology with a minor in sociology as a pre-med student. UA is the premier choice for the Cenla area. There are multiple aspects as to why UA was the perfect choice for me. I’ll start with the student body. The student body is small in quantity, but what it lacks in size it makes up with companionship. Because the student body is smaller than other schools in the area, everyone knows each other and there is always a familiar face to help. The second reason is the staff. I attended multiple schools in my younger years, and UA’s staff was by far the most friendliest, helpful, and encouraging of all. I’ve always noticed how comfortable students feel with the staff, opposed to being timid of them like other schools. Mrs. Novosad, in particular, helped me tremendously in accomplishing my goal of attending a top 25 university in my desired field. I would strongly suggest every student at UA to put their college aspirations in her hands and she will work wonders for you. The college classes taken through LSUA were a tremendous boost for me in my higher education journey. Because of this opportunity, I was thoroughly prepared for all of my future classes and had many prerequisites completed. I had a great time at UA and I miss it all the time. For any student trying to decide where to go next, if you want to put yourself in the best position for future success, UA should be your first choice.
