University Academy will always hold a special place in my heart. I was there the first day the school opened and was a part of UA’s third graduating class. There are so many things that I loved about UA, but one of the things I loved the most was how much the faculty and staff truly cared about me. Every day I walked into University Academy I felt supported, loved, and a part of the UA family. During my time at UA I was a part of the Lady Lions basketball team. Being a part of this team, allowed me to learn the skills I needed to be a great team player and leader. I can never thank Coach Craig Whittington enough for pushing me to be the best that I could be in everything I did. Without him and the rest of the faculty at UA (especially Mrs. Loyd), I would not be the person I am today. University Academy is more than just a high school, it is a place to learn, it is a place to grow, and it is a place to become the best version of yourself. Because of UA I am a better leader, a better friend, and a better person. I know I would have never experienced this anywhere else, and I am forever grateful that I got the opportunity to be a University Academy Lion.
